ABLE, Inc.

ABLE, Inc. is a not for profit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of people with developmental disabilities by providing a variety of services and opportunities. ABLE, Inc. has three locations in Dickinson, Bowman, and Hettinger proudly serving southwest North Dakota. In February we moved into our newly built Day Support/Administration Building in Dickinson.

Recently ABLE, Inc. has been blessed to have received donations from our generous supporters. There is one donor story which comes to mind. Mary Anderson, Executive Director, had the pleasure of sitting down with a family member of a person supported. He wanted to talk to Mary regarding ABLE, Inc.’s future plans. He knew we were already in the process of building our Day Support/Administration Building. They discussed our future building projects and how it would make a difference in the lives of people supported. After much discussion around ABLE’s future the gentleman said he needed to get going. Before he left he reached into his pocket and handed Mary a check for a substantial amount of money. He hoped this would help ABLE, Inc. in their future building efforts. He and his family wish to remain anonymous.

Mary, the employees, and people supported have been overwhelmed by the generosity of this family and all our donors.
